in 'You only live twice'. The emphasis today is on longevity, lifespan, living longer. Controlling when and how you die is such a high risk undertaking as to be impossible. Living to avoid risk is itself risky, apart from taking a few sensible precautions it is not possible to construct a fully safe, risk free life, without losing the meaning of living.
Better to order your life so that every day you are able to live it to the fullest extent possible.
