HIGH PERFORMANCE

As a student pilot in the military each training trip was graded on a scale from poor-average-above average-high average-superior. This was judged against the accuracy with which you carried out the actions set out for the lesson. Students worked to be high average to superior, and those who consistently made those scores were regarded as high performers.

Two problems I have with this methodology, firstly how do we get from ground zero to superior? Secondly how do we know that superior is our best?

I like to approach things from the point of view of peak performance, it does not matter where you are on the scale, everyone has a peak, if you practice to be at your peak consistently, eventually your peak will rise, to a new level. Eventually your peak may redefine the meaning of superior and what it is to be a high performer.

I have found no area in life where this is not true. Being consistently at your peak, leads to a new peak, which leads to high performance.
