Aspirin is a drug and as a rule I do not use drugs, I would in a matter of life and death, but my whole approach is to live in such a way as to avoid the need for life saving drugs.
Aspirin is an exception, it may not be the only one depending on how you view other substances I use for performance which I will get to soon.
Aspirin fits my 4 tests, simple, inexpensive, effective and sustainable, #SI_lo_ES. Simple as it is not over-engineered, (except for coated and chewable versions) which means your body will have an easier time of processing it. Inexpensive, lots of generic brands, and manufacturers keep prices reasonable. Effective for what you need it to do, reduce inflammation. Sustainable, widely available at affordable prices, you should always be able to get it.
This is the path for the disadvantaged to get to the performance levels of the privileged and so compete for life's opportunities.
There can be bad effects, the most concerning being bleeding, but this can be controlled, improved gut microbiome, take with food and lots of water.
Speak to a doctor if you are able. If you decide to use aspirin for performance take it slow, listen to your body, adjust as necessary.
