(you and the coronavirus vaccine)
The United Kingdom has approved the use of the Pfizer produced vaccine against the disease COVID-19.
This vaccine was developed by a German company founded and operated by Turkish Immigrants: BioNTech. Pfizer will produce and distribute the vaccine, with most of the doses made in the near future already pre-bought by the EU, Japan, the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Chile.
Many innovations have been employed to quickly create this vaccine. In fact, no vaccine before has employed this technology. There have also been many innovations in the manufacture, storage, transport, and approval process (at least in the UK), which have allowed the rapidity with which we have gotten to this point.
Do not pay any attention to Dr. Fauci’s criticism; the chances of the USA not approving the Pfizer vaccine are lower than the storage temperature (i.e. somewhere south of negative seventy percent).
As usual, it is my intention here to try to help you to think clearly about the coming situation, recognise the risks and opportunities ahead, and come up with your plan of action. Many of the techniques are the same, but I will still include them for the sake of completeness.
Firstly, an apology to those of you who read this blog who may be older. I first conceptualised this as a way to speak to young people who are disadvantaged, and help them to change their situation. I am now discovering that older folk too are disadvantaged, not least by the perception of their age, are just as concerned about the future, and are wishing to achieve and maintain Peak Performance. I will from now on try to be more inclusive.
Use what you know and understand to try to find out what you do not know; what is on the other side of the hill. Inoculations have been a very important part of medicine, controlling many infectious diseases, some to the point of eradication. Inoculation has been improved to the point where it is now referred to as vaccination, with far more complex methods of introducing an element into the body to excite the immune system against the offending virus. As with any medical intervention, there are side effects which vary from person to person and one type of vaccination to another. The severity is also very variable, ranging from no reaction to developing a full blown version of the thing being vaccinated against. Much harder to understand are ‘Long Term Adverse Effects, on which there is almost no agreement in the Medical and Scientific community, though the dissenters are outnumbered.
Outside of your control has been the response to the pandemic, which has devastated economies across the globe and strengthened the conviction of the experts that a vaccine is the way and only way out. You must work in this scenario, and so I think most will conclude that they should take the vaccine. There is also talk from politicians and businessmen that the vaccine should be made compulsory, a thoroughly bad idea which would have long term consequences that could eventually end the practice of vaccinating against disease. A problem shared by academics and top management, who increasingly tend to be the same types, (devoid of practical experience, living in a bubble) is that they have no appreciation of “fuckology”. In the real world, something is going to get fucked, and usually “FUBARED” (fucked up beyond all recognition). This is what happens when you get people involved. The technology may be brilliant, the AI may be spot on, but the human condition is pulled to FUBAR as surely as gravity binds Earth to Sun. So, if you have people involved, something is going to get fucked up sooner rather than later.
To illustrate my point, let us take the very recent case of what I think to be the best vaccine in the pipeline: the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The phase three (last phase) trials were FUBARED. For details click the link or go to your favoured news source. As another example, check out the mighty Apple’s latest iPhones 11 and 12. You would think by now they would have it figured out. Bottom line is fuckology.
People, given time, will fuck it. Some refer to this as human nature. As a young man I was close to a Catholic Priest (he had none of the predilections for which they have now become notorious). I complained to him one day about the behaviour of many past Popes and Catholic clergy, which at the time were being highlighted by Jerry Falwell in every sermon he preached. After a moment of reflection, Jerry advised me, “They have not had time for their humanity to catch up with them.” This is “FUCKOLOGY”. It will get them all eventually.
On balance, taking the vaccine is far less risky than not.
Having said that, there are some considerations.
If you are healthy, on a good regimen of vitamin and mineral supplementation and eating properly, if you have not had a cold or flu in decades, then there’s no need to rush. It is going to take a long time to get everyone vaccinated in the developed world, and it will never happen globally. So wait as long as you can.
When you have to get vaccinated, my preference would be for one of the less exotic, less technically advanced vaccines created by tried and true methods. Why? Pfizer has been indemnified by the UK government against adverse outcomes from its product. It probably has similar arrangements with other governments, and maybe all the pharmaceutical companies have taken this precaution. This is a wise move on the part of the businesses; they have done it because of the RISK involved: the unknown unknowns. They cannot expose the business to bankruptcy from an avalanche of lawsuits claiming liability.
You too are special, and you have to start thinking of yourself as a business. Assess your risk and take the precautions you can. Wait if you are healthy, and when you have to, get an “old time” vaccine.
This goes for everyone. When being vaccinated, make sure you are near bowel tolerance levels of vitamin C. For those who literally cannot stomach ascorbic acid, use calcium or sodium ascorbate. Give your immune system a boost, it is likely to react better to the vaccine, and the side effects some suffer on vaccination will likely be reduced if not eliminated.
Older folk (maybe 60+) should probably get vaccinated at the earliest possible opportunity. By the time any Long Term Adverse Effects reveal themself, you will probably have more pressing issues to deal with.
I do not see any reason to vaccinate children, who generally do not suffer terribly from the disease. I am sure the epidemiologists have a chart, and the aim is to eliminate COVID-19 from the human population. I do not see how this will be possible and personally think our bodies will become adjusted to the virus over time, provided we maintain a reasonably strong immune system. Vaccinating children will add complexity and cost, and they still have 60-80 years to discover any Long Term Adverse Effects. Unfortunately, this is also not in your gift. It will probably be mandated. Once again, boost and maintain their natural immunity.

It would be truly sad if the UK does not come to grips with the reason why it has one of the worst death rates from this virus, which is the general health of the population; one of the worst among developed nations. This despite the NHS. Never mind the name; this is an organisation primarily concerned with sickness. No organisation concerned with Health exists outside private initiative, which is under constant attack from the Medical and Scientific communities.
Which brings me to an aside, as described by Michael White and John Gribbin in their book Stephen Hawking, A Life in Science. The great physicist was afflicted with a grave disease (motor neurone or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in his youth, and was not expected to live very long. His father, a distinguished doctor and researcher of infectious diseases, dissatisfied with the answers he was receiving from his son’s doctors embarked on his own research. He developed his own treatment based around vitamins, minerals, and steroids, which Stephen followed until his father’s death. For some reason, probably because he did not subscribe to the treatment, Stephen stopped once the old man had gone, but at this point he had already outlived expectations by many decades and done some of the best work in science ever undertaken. He lived an additional 32 years of steady, and I believe accelerated, decline. How much of that was due to him abandoning the treatment? I have no answer to satisfy Science, but I am sure that but for the intervention of his father he would have died sooner and produced less.
The Bottom Line: (My Take)
Better to take the vaccine than not. The older you are the truer this is.
Better to take an old time vaccine if you can.
Better not to vaccinate your children if you can afford to avoid it.
Make sure you maintain optimum vitamin and mineral levels, which will require supplementation.
Remember fuckology.

PS. I apologise if the appearance of certain terms seem asinine, and out of the flow of the argument, I have been advised by those in charge of my marketing and the building and promotion of my image that for reasons of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) I must include certain words and phrases that are “trending” on Social Media. I admit to struggling under the weight of this requirement, crafting the argument to countenance words and phrases that are recognisable to a dumb-ass algorythm repeatedly examining its 0s and 1s to find a pattern with which it is satisfied. I sail very close to GSUM.
